A birth control shot. A brain tumor.
Women who received the Depo-Provera birth control injection and later developed a meningioma, a tumor on the lining of the brain, are suing its maker, Pfizer.

What happened
Research has linked long-term use of medroxyprogesterone acetate, the active ingredient in Depo-Provera, to a higher risk of meningioma. The lawsuits say women were never warned. The FDA has since added a meningioma warning to the label.
Who may qualify
You may have a claim if:
- Received Depo-Provera injections, generally for about a year or longer
- Diagnosed with a meningioma confirmed by imaging (MRI or CT)
- Treatment such as surgery, radiation or ongoing monitoring

Where the case stands
Federal cases are consolidated in MDL 3140. The parties announced a global settlement in principle on June 15, 2026, and the MDL grew to about 6,300 cases by August 2026. Details of the settlement program are still being finalized, so now is the time to get your claim reviewed.

Questions families ask
What does it cost?
Nothing up front. We work on a contingency fee, so there is no fee unless we recover money for you. The exact terms are in your written retainer, and they follow the rules in your state.
I stopped using Depo-Provera years ago. Does that matter?
Not necessarily. What matters most is your length of use and your diagnosis. We review both.
Does a settlement mean I’ll be paid automatically?
No. Each claim must be filed and documented. That is exactly what we handle for you.
Is there a deadline to file?
Yes. Every state sets a deadline, called a statute of limitations. Some start when you were hurt, others when you learned the cause. Contact us now so you do not lose your right to file.
